Collection includes records and correspondence relating to the development of the colony of Palermo by the Palermo Land and Water Company. Records document the sales of land, sales of fruit trees, payroll, and water sales collections. Correspondence is to B. F. Taylor, water superintendent, mostly from the McAfee Brothers of San Francisco, general agents. Mentioned are T. B. Ludlum, Pacific Improvement Company and Palermo Nursery and Cistrus Assn. Miscellaneous papers include lists of owners and trees planted on lots, transcript on appeal of the People of the State of California vs Palermo Land and Water Company, 1905, and a pamphlet "Northern Citrus Fair ...", 1894.
